PlayStation fans are eagerly waiting for the first State of Play of this new year, and it seems like many are in for a delight with the latest event.

It’s been a while since we have witnessed a Sony event taking place, and the community is getting quite impatient to learn more about what’s in store for players this year. We do know for a fact that one of the biggest launches for the PlayStation 5, Horizon Forbidden West is coming out very soon, and it does make sense for Sony to organize a State of Play right before that.

PlayStation State of Play Could Be “Potentially Big” As Per Leaks
According to veteran industry insider Tom Henderson, the next State of Play could be potentially big, with a number of exciting reveals slated to take place in the event. Quite obvious of all is more information about the highly anticipated release, Horizon Forbidden West, and we might see more gameplay from what could be the biggest release of this year.

Along with that, Tom also adds that God of War Ragnarok will be getting more information towards the end of March, which would possibly mean a release date as well. A PlayStation database leak had suggested a September release date, but it is too early to believe that in all honesty. He doesn’t rule out a delay to early 2023 either.

What’s more probable to appear in the State of Play is Hogwarts Legacy, along with some details on what’s next for The Last of Us franchise, which includes a remaster as well as the Factions which fans are eagerly waiting for. With the event slated to take place sometime in February, we should be getting more details pretty soon.
