Fortnite Leak May Reveal Tilted Towers Return Date

4.4
The Fortnite battle royale map is constantly evolving, and the new map introduced in Chapter 3 is no exception to the rule. Fortnite fans can expect regular changes to the battle royale map as time goes on, with developer Epic Games tweaking Points of Interest and adding new locations for players to explore. The many changes to the Fortnite map has resulted in a map that's virtually unrecognizable when compared to how the game looked when it first launched, but it seems as though an old POI from years ago may be making a comeback.

Fortnite leaker HYPEX believes that Tuesday, January 18 will be a big content day for the battle royale, headlined by the long-awaited return of Tilted Towers. For the uninitiated, Tilted Towers has proven to be one of the most popular POIs in Fortnite history, first introduced to the game as part of Season 2 on January 18, 2018. Since January 18 marks the four year anniversary of Tilted Towers being added to the game, it makes sense for it to make its grand return that day, though nothing official has been announced at the time of this writing.

Tilted Towers in Fortnite has gone through many changes, at one point being combined with Salty Springs to form Salty Towers. Tilted Towers has also been removed from the Fortnite battle royale completely at a couple points, and so it's return is no doubt going to be appreciated by fans of the battle royale.

Assuming the leak is true, the only question remains what version of Tilted Towers will be added to Fortnite come January 18. Hardcore Fortnite fans are likely hoping that Tilted Towers will return to its original look, but it's also possible that it will be a completely different take on the POI. After all, there's been an old west Tilted Towers, a Gotham City Tilted Towers, and many other variations of the area since it was first added to the game, so anything is on the table.

Besides Fortnite bringing back Tilted Towers, leaks have potentially revealed other content that fans of the BR can expect to see added to the game. According to the leaks, Fortnite may be adding a no-build mode, which will apparently only be available for a limited-time. While building is a major part of Fortnite's DNA and really the defining feature that helps it stand apart from other battle royale games, removing it could potentially bring back lapsed players who are more interested in other aspects of the BR.

These Fortnite leaks remain unconfirmed, but fans shouldn't have to wait too much longer to find out if there's any truth to them.

Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

Would love to see Titled back. Such a good POI and when you make it out alive it sets up good momentum for the rest of the game.
