Without a doubt, one of Nintendo's most anticipated games in development is The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2. With it being a sequel to the critically and commercially successful first game, fans have been waiting with bated breath for this continuation. Nintendo, however, has been keeping its cards close to the chest, with fans having received little news about it since its announcement. Other than a few trailers, not much is known about the game, not even the true title of this Breath of the Wild sequel.

Fans however have been receiving nuggets of information regarding the sequel, from patents that detail possible Breath of the Wild 2 mechanics, to analyzing what has appeared in the trailers uploaded so far. The biggest concern for fans is when this game will release. A new rumor has popped up that suggests that this highly anticipated sequel will be launching in November.

This rumor stems from IGN boss Peer Schneider on the Nintendo Voice Chat podcast speaking about his experience attending the Game Awards 2021. He explains that he was able to catch up with many industry leaders and peers in attendance who knew about what would be revealed at the show. While The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 ultimately didn't show up at the awards show, he was assured that it was still on track for a 2022 release.



Schneider says that those from Nintendo who were at the show were very excited about 2022, and despite Breath of the Wild 2's absence from the TGAs, it shouldn't be taken as a sign of a delay. Later on in the podcast, however, Schneider mentions a more specific window, where he suggests that fans will be playing this game in November of next year. This could be either a prediction or a slip-up, however, so fans should take this potential release window with a grain of salt until more information is given.

A November release window for Breath of the Wild 2 does seem very likely, however. With Nintendo having an incredible lineup of games for 2022, it wouldn't be surprising to see the company try and keep the hype train going into next year. It will be an interesting sight to see if this window will be kept, along with more solid release date in the coming future.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is expected to release November 2022 for Nintendo Switch.
