EA seeking studio partner for Need for Speed movie

EA already has a script for a Need for Speed movie, courtesy of sibling writing duo George and John Gatins, known for their work on Hugh Jackman vehicle, Real Steel. And apparently Paramount, Warner Bros. and Sony are interested in plunking down the millions it'd cost to get Need for Speed on the starting line.

Variety says that Paramount is the current leading potential financier, but EA is still open to other bidders. If EA ends up securing funds for the Need for Speed film, we wonder which game the movie would be based on? The most recent franchise entry, Need for Speed: The Run? How about Need for Speed: Undercover? It already has Maggie Q in it and we're pretty sure she was in a movie once.

Every Need for Speed is always somewhat different, so I'm pretty sure it would be a brand new story.

They should made a Good Need for Speed game that was in a old days. They should mix Carbon, Most Wanted and Underground and make Neeed for Speed Underground 3 or Something when you can have a race with people on town and upgrade your cars with lots of different stuff. People will love it, and they will earn a great amount of money. The need for speed these days is a f**ng peace of sh*t... Andd it doesn't even look like NFS no more.. I'm very disappointed EA :(

Agreed. Most Wanted was awesome. The story was so good. Id buy Most Wanted 2 the second it got released.

The Run was like a movie for me, they should just stick to games, not make another Fast and Furious Series..

I can't really seeing this kick off, as fast and furious have already made a massive name for themselves and the story lines of need for speed are near enough the same as fast and furious
