Rumor: Assassin's Creed 3 takes place during American Revolution

According to promotional art images snagged by a Best Buy employee, Ubisoft's next entry in the Assassin's Creed series will take place during the American Revolution. The image [via Kotaku] features an assassin in front of the original Continental flag.
The hero appears to be Native American, but it's unclear. According to the source, the supposed star of Assassin's Creed 3 carries a tomahawk in one of his his unseen hands.
Ubisoft had previously announced Assassin's Creed 3 was due to hit store shelves by the end of October.
rockycold I thought there have been like 5 or 6 of assassin creed games? I havent played em since the 2nd one which was pretty amazing. I heard they have just overdone it and should stop making them. But like i said, there have been more then 3 right?
I haven't played any after II myself, that game was amazing though, but Brotherhood and Revelations must be like, for example, Halo 3 being made then Halo Reach and the next Halo being called Halo 4...Think about it being like, Brotherhood came out and Revelations were like long continuations of II...Like really detailed 60$ expansions...In a way...Now that this story line has ended, they make an Assassins Creed 3.
They didnt end the story is just really long and full of twists and other stuff like that, and they're taking their time talking about the whole *SPOILER ALERT* world ending event that is happening
This is sad. I see that most people haven't even played 1 or 2 which were way better than brother and revelations. At least rent the games and play them. I can't stand people who play a game in the middle of the series and not even gonna play the ones before it.
Hmm this will add a new twist to the game style. Though ive not yet played 1 or 2 i have however played Brother hood which actually got me hooked on the game series so as soon as Revelations i came i got it like 3 days later and to me this game feels like it will be a little better then the other ones.
