If you’re thinking of picking up or have just started playing Scarlet Nexus you might be wondering how long it takes to beat it. The truth is, it will vary a lot depending on how you approach it.

An action RPG with a truly insane story, Scarlet Nexus can be completed in as little as 20 hours if you head straight through it without engaging in any side content. To get the full picture, however, you’ll need to complete the game with both available protagonists. And to get the most out of the game, you’ll want to form bonds with your party members to gain access to new skills.

While side quests can be safely ignored by most in Scarlet Nexus, chances are you’ll want to complete any Bond Episodes that pop up between chapters of the game’s main story. Most of them involve little more than watching a scene play out, but some do have short gameplay segments. If you do as many Bond Episodes as you can, chances are you’ll beat Scarlet Nexus in around 30 hours.

Those that get engrossed in Scarlet Nexus, then, are likely to spend between 50 and 60 hours with it, playing through it twice to discover all facets of its story and maximise their bonds levels with all characters. Those who want to get all of the game’s achievements or trophies will need to play through it at least twice, too, and complete at least thirty of those dull side missions. Needless to say, Scarlet Nexus isn’t a short game but you can speed things up using mods or a Scarlet Nexus Trainer.
