Trials Evolution suffers early leak

It seems that one of this year biggest XBLA titles was leaked from a developer network.

The leaked build was seemingly quick to appear on file sharing sites for others to download and play with some even having the gall to post videos on YouTube, which RedLynx was snappy to get pulled.

The following is a posting via RedLynx on their forums:

“Unfortunately there has been some unofficial information coming out ahead of the development process. We assure you we are aware of these and will be tackling the issue with our partners.

“Here is an important thing for you to know: the leaked version does not have any online functionality, which is crucial to the Trials experience. Lead boards, friend challenges, online multiplayer and global track sharing are all fundamental features of the game which cannot be fully experience ahead of launch. Even single player uses an asynchronous multiplayer feature in a new way. Without these core online features, the game cannot be experience properly before launch.

“We’re continuing to polish and finish up the game, and we’ll have a new trailer coming soon which will give people a much better look into everything the game will hold and when they can expect to see it.”

A official release date has not been established at this time.

You are preaching to the choir. I've been on Xbox Live since it started in 2002. I have over 700hours played on Trials HD so please elaborate, yes Evolution will be good but there's only so much people will put up with before losing hype interest. Take Duke Nukem Forever, need I say more? As for Halo 4, well anything not made by bungie isn't a true Halo game nothing comes close to #1 + #2 both of which I also logged countless thousands of hours.

Go check the RedLynx forums yourself, you will find it to be nothing but a ghost town of people waiting for new info. The devs kept quiet without saying a word and letting 2011 pass by without giving updated information. But It's still not a excuse to be jumping into bed with Microsoft, without providing any real updates/releases for the original crowd of PC gamers that MADE RedLynx who they are today, without whom they would still be the basement dwellers making flash games.

As an Insomniac there isn't much you can do when you are unable to sleep.

Like myself, I was really looking forward to it when it was first announced, now I couldn't care less, have plenty of other games to play.

You can't blame the developer! You must not have been very interested, a lot of people have other games to play. Just not this one. Also hype can go very far, some people wait for games for years. Look at halo 4 I have been waiting for that for almost a year and I have a lot longer to wait. Your point is invalid. You blame everything on why this game is not up to "your" standards, yet you forgot the real point, which is, this game is F*U*C*KING bad ass and is worth waiting for as long as it takes! Piraters can suck on my DONKY KONG D*I*C*K*

Not surprising, RedLynx have only themselves to blame, not keeping in touch with the community about the games progress end of 2011 came and went without any updates with a lot of people getting frustrated, like most games hype goes on for too long and people start losing interest.

Like myself, I was really looking forward to it when it was first announced, now I couldn't care less, have plenty of other games to play.
