Forza Horizon 5 Gives Players The Tools To Create Party Games

During the Xbox Games Extended Showcase, new details for the upcoming Forza Horizon 5 were revealed. This time Playground Games talks about the Event Lab — a new feature allowing the players to create their own adventures and party games.

This Fall the Horizon Festival is moving to Mexico, bringing the largest and most diverse open-world in the series. Forza Horizon 5’s creative director Mike Brown appeared during the Xbox extended showcase to highlight the vision the team had while working on the ambitious title. According to him, the devs were very excited about the country’s culture that they are going to recreate, and every effort goes to make the feeling of the vibrant region as authentic as possible.

Aside from Horizon 5’s totally new and gorgeous world, there will be plenty of additional gameplay features for the fans. One of them is Event Lab, a new set of tools, allowing the racing community to create whatever they can imagine. You can not only develop your own racing event or championship in Forza Horizon 5, but build a whole new map or special competition from scratch while inventing your own rules to participate in. All of the creative freedom will be open for the players to experiment with.

In the demo, Playground Games showed a custom map, where the cars are used as bowling balls. In Horizon 5’s online multiplayer, players will be able to easily team up with others for such events. Moreover, you can set up a varied mix of different challenges to bringing friends to your Party Game, like in Burnout Paradise. All that's left now is for someone to recreate Rocket League in the new Forza game.

Previously, Mike Brown revealed that Forza Horizon 5’s multiplayer called Horizon Open has been built with the aim of letting everyone have fun rather than get angry trying your best to win the event. “It’s intended to be more low pressure, more inclusive, more accessible,” Brown explained.

Forza Horizon 5 is arriving on Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 9. Microsoft earlier revealed that this next-gen racing title alongside other announced projects will be possible for Xbox One owners thanks to the xCloud streaming service.
