Watch Dogs Legion patch targets online freezes

Ubisoft has detailed a new Watch Dogs Legion update designed to combat issues with the game’s online mode.

Title update 3.30 will hit PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC on April 13, followed by Stadia “soon” and Luna on April 16.

The update (see full patch notes below) includes improvements for a freezing issue that can occur when players join or leave an online session, and a fix for a problem which means potential recruits can go missing when disconnecting from the game.

On PS5, the update also resolves a problem that can cause the game to become stuck when attempting to launch the single player campaign.

“While we have identified the underlying cause for the continuously spawning enemy NPCs and drones we have not been able to fully fix this issue yet,” Ubisoft added. “We will keep you posted on the progress and currently plan to have first improvements in TU4.0.”

Watch Dogs Legion’s multiplayer component launched in March. It was originally scheduled to arrive as part of a free update in December 2020, but was delayed so that Ubisoft could focus on fixing issues with the single player game.
