Rumor: Spielberg looking to produce Halo movie

4.7

The Halo movie may be dead to Neill Blomkamp and Peter Jackson, but it's apparently not dead dead, as IESB reports Spielberg is in negotiations to produce the feature film. Spielberg only had to read Stuart Beattie's script before wanting to tackle the project, IESB claims, which focuses on The Fall of Reach, the prequel to the original Halo game written by Eric Nylund.
This likely comes as either bad news or good news, depending on your feelings toward Spielberg these days. Some enjoyed his recent Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, while others still remember those stupid walkie-talkies

Seems kinda cool if it's based on the story line of the game.

I think if they released a Halo movie it would be in 3 parts and it would be EPIC!

Meh, spielberg does make some good movies, don't be so harsh to judge his work.

not sure how it would turn out. I guess if the kid tv show transformers turns out as an awesome movie, then some how halo could pull it off.

well if any one can make a decent game to movie translation then its peter jackson and iam sure he will have a big enough budget to back up his talent.

I hope this Halo movie is good. There hasn't been a good video game movie in a long time. If this doesn't succeed then the Gears of War movie is done.

can you say 2 failed movies in the mix?
