Skyrim already nearing Oblivion’s lifetime sales

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has moved the franchise forward quite a bit for Bethesda. And by quite a bit I mean a whole lot.

The NPD data for the month of November shows that the open-world RPG has nearly reached the lifetime sales of predecessor Oblivion, and that’s a feat it achieved during its first 20 days or so of being on sale. It came just around half a million copies short.

By now, it may have well blasted past Oblivion.

We’ll label that mighty impressive and head right back to discovering the seemingly endless amount of content the game has on offer.

thought they wouldnt beat oblivion in gameplay but they did EVEN better than i expected best game of all time now thankz guys down in bethesda

This just shows that Bethesda are on the very top of their game and as a new skyrim user i have to agree because the game is awesome compared to oblivion.
They really took it to the next level.
Good luck for the future too with seasonal sales going to reach a peak

I'm not that surprised, as it actually was talked about frequently. Oblivion built the pedestal that Skyrim is on.
