Xbox Live’s Terms Now Include Section That Prevents Class Action Suits

4.3
Though the Xbox Live Dashboard update has finally been made available to the public after a slight delay, there are still some who are reporting problems logging back onto the service after completing the download. While we’re sure that Microsoft is addressing the problem, a new issue has come up that should concern any Xbox Live user living in the United States.

See, as part of the Terms of Use for Xbox Live, Microsoft has created a few new clauses that, in essence, say users cannot sue or join in a class action suit against Microsoft. It’s very similar to the clause that was added to the Sony terms after the PSN hack, but it’s still pretty unsettling.

irishfan3124 I'm pretty sure they can't put that in a ToS. If you have a reason to sue them, a ToS isn't going to stop you
It won't literally stop you from suing them but im guessing since usually when someone breaks the ToS they either suspend the GT for however long they see fit or just ban them completely, seeing if you do sue them it will be violating the ToS and thus giving them a reason to suspend/ban your account...

This clause isn't gonna hold very long, you have to have a legitimate reason to sue Microsoft and have serious back up to help you, cuz suing a fortune 500 company will most likely lead to defeat and you end up losing more money!
