Despite how long Grand Theft Auto 5 has been on the market, it remains relevant due to an upcoming release on the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and thanks to consistent updates for its ongoing facet GTA Online. The online game recently released its Cayo Perico Heist update, and even more new content was added today that gives players an opportunity to gather together for some "live" music.

A brand-new house and techno club called The Music Locker has opened up beneath the Diamond Casino & Resort in GTA Online's Los Santos. This underground nightclub was teased prior to the Cayo Perico Heist update, and according to a Rockstar Games newsletter it officially opened with Berlin electronic music group Keinemusik and UK house artist Palms Trax as the first resident DJs. Producer and record label owner Kenny "Moodymann" Dixon Jr. will also serve as a resident DJ in The Music Locker, according to its official website.

These real-world performers turned GTA Online NPCs are integrated into the story of the Cayo Perico Heist in a way that's "not tacked-on in any way," said Rockstar Games Music Director Ivan Pavlovich in an interview with beatportal. There will be brand-new DJ Missions to complete that will help the artists settle in, according to Rockstar, which should be available to players now.

Pavlovich said The Music Locker was created to feel like an authentic place to "listen to great music and have fun with friends," which is a form of escapism amid ongoing troubles due to the coronavirus pandemic; similar to live events such as Fortnite's Travis Scott concert. However, the club is not all Rockstar added in this update. There are also two new radio stations, one transmitting live sets from The Music Locker and another making Joy Orbison's pirate station more mainstream.

Today's newsletter also details two new vehicles players can obtain, the Grotti Itali RSX sports car and the Dinka Veto Modern that appears similar to a souped-up bumper car. Players can also receive special bonuses that released alongside the Cayo Perico Heist, discounts on various items, and a free Kosatka submarine Sonar Station by connecting their Rockstar Games Social Club account to Prime Gaming.

For any fans of the open-world game logging on to take part in its new clubbing scene and enjoy its growing collection of music, even more content is available. Rockstar advertised the Cayo Perico Heist update as coming with five new radio stations, offering a wide variety for anyone cruising through Los Santos.

GTA Online is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with versions for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in development.
