Stardew Valley 1.5 Update to Introduce Beach Farm and New Options

You can start your farm in different ways in the upcoming update for Stardew Valley.

Earlier this year, developer ConcernedApe announced that its hit farming simulator game Stardew Valley would be getting a new 1.5 update in the future. Since then we’ve had small bits of information teased in the months that followed the initial announcement. In a new tweet, more information has been revealed, but a release date is still not revealed as of yet.

“If you’re a seasoned player thinking of starting a new farm when 1.5 comes out, I’d like to highlight a couple of new features.” the tweet reads. The features come in the form of a brand new starting farm called “Beach Farm” and an advanced game options box that allows players to take a bit more control over their game. You can see the box in the embedded tweet below which includes some tick boxes and dropdown menus.

The community center bundles option finds players continuing to donate specific items to the community center, but they’ll unlock special bundles that are different to the classic version of the game. The new remixed bundle is explained to be a “randomized mixture” of new bundles and old bundles.

The “Guarantee year 1 completable” means that players can ensure they can get a red cabbage required for a bundle in the community center. These rare vegetable seeds potentially show up during year 1 through the traveling merchant. By ticking the box, the seeds are guaranteed to appear during year 1.

Developer Eric Barone also notes that there’s not a lot of soil on the beach-themed farm but players can plant any crops in the sand. the new farm comes in from the West apparently, and we’ve already seen a peek at what planted crops in the sand looks like when it was revealed that bananas are on their way in the 1.5 update. We can also expect to see ducks heading to the new update and some new end game content.

While no specific release date has been announced, players can expect it to be arriving on consoles and PC first with mobile users getting it after. Another addition is that split-screen co-op is on the way. Stardew Valley is available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile.

Cent I haven't played in quite some time, friends stopped playing so I got bored. Maybe I'll have to check it out again or start playing with my brother lol.

Yes this isn't fun to play unless you have people to play with
