The sales of the indie title that could, Minecraft, have now reached four million copies plus, the real time counter on the game’s official website shows. Creator Markus “Notch” Persson drew attention to the milestone via Twitter today: “4milyay”.

Still in beta for now, the wild success is set to officially launch next week, on Friday, with MineCon in Las Vegas celebrating the fact.
