MW3 to reach $1.1bn sales in six weeks — analyst

And the predictions begin; next week’s Modern Warfare 3 is, according to Wedbush crystal ball Michael Pachter, expected to out-do its Treyarch-developed predecessor Black Ops by 10% and reach revenues of $1.1 billion in its first six weeks on the market.

To compare, Black Ops crossed the $1bn mark in six weeks, while Modern Warfare 2 did it in nine.

The analyst also speculates that Call of Duty Elite will have gained four million subscribers by the end of the calendar year.

MW3 is out next Tuesday, November 8th, worldwide.

Both games are great. Can't we just leave it at that? It's much more simple than people whining over which game is better. I'm personally more of a battlefield fan because I've been playing It since battlefield 1942 (2002), but I also like CoD, been playing it since CoD 2. I already have Bf3 and I have Mw3 pre-ordered.
