Battlefield 3 sells 5 million globally during first week

We already knew Battlefield 3 had shipped 10 million units globally since launch, but now we’ve got a better figure…how many copies the game has actually sold.

Electronic Arts has announced that the DICE’s shooter has sold 5 million units globally since its launch last week. The data stems from EA’s 'internal estimates,' which also claim that the game is the publisher’s fastest-selling game of all time.

What’s more, EA admits that “some players experienced intermittent disruption of online services due to high volume,” but note now that servers and stability are stabilized to 98.9%.

-Spirt- they did good for this game and they deserve every penny of their money. Also to everyone laughing and saying that CoD sold way more copies, not trying to be a fanboy of any sort but, Quality>Quantity just saying.


Well cant agree with you on quality as the "Console" version sucks so far. Lost of lag, spawns suck, and trying go get 4 of your friends on the same team is damn near impossible. Not saying bad game but its got lost of kinks in it that make it hard to really enjoy.

exactly i love people who play cod because i don't have to deal with annoying assholes who sit in a corner, battlefield will get better reviews then cod hands down, FU,CK COD !

Why compare? besides they're shooters why? they're completely different play styles. if you want to lets compare. BF=better graphics, engine, destruction, community, no hacks glitches, mods, no lag, more customization,and dinosaurs.CoD same graphics, updated but no yet new engine, horrible community(people called each other bks and cuss alot when they're 9), hacks, glitches, mods, lag, alot of customization on guns but not anything else, and no dinosaurs.
