Battlefield 3 on Xbox 360 Plagued with Server Issues

Servers have been up and down all night on the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 3.

The game launched in North America yesterday, but despite a beta test which publisher EA says was downloaded 9.5 million times on all platforms, it appears players have been struggling to get into multiplayer games.

Despite the offical Battlefield Twitter account declaring the problems resolved six hours ago, gamers continue to report problems on Twitter and forums. Some users are also struggling with the Battlelog service.

The most recent official update says maintenance is ongoing, and that servers should be back online shortly. Battlefield 3 will be released in Europe for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 on Friday.

Forensics Well, this isn't shocking. I had my doubts about BF3. Well atleast the the BF3 fanboys can stop the trash talking. Return BF3 while you can.

The game is amazing. Play it before you down it.

A few server problems for half an hour are a LOT better than playing with hackers, modders, and glitchers etc.
Dedicated Servers > CoD Servers

ApacheMan Leave it to TTG to make the game sound bad.

The servers are fine, they were down a few times last night for periods of 10-20min.
TTG doesn't even write their own news articles...

Who really didn't expect this? This game's multiplayer is massive, so there was bound to be server problems. The amount of people that played the beta is less than the amount of people that are going to play the retail game, so the information that the gathered was only a part of it. I would say that like ANY other game the servers will be flawless within the week.

Are you crazy Bf3 is 100% better than Gears *I have both*

Gears is very good, BF3 is a huge disappointment. I'll play BFBC2 over BF3 any day.
