Minecraft for consoles exclusive to Xbox 360, building spring 2012 launch

Markus "Notch" Persson has confirmed via Twitter that the console version of Minecraft, announced during E3 for Xbox 360, will be exclusive to Microsoft's system (meaning no PSN or WiiWare versions). The game will arrive on Xbox Live in the spring of 2012.

Those heading to MineCon in Las Vegas next month will be able to try out the Xbox 360 version. The PC version is also being completed, having already sold millions in its beta state. Those heading to MineCon will receive alpha codes for Mojang's Scrolls and Cobalt.

now how r we gonna get all the awesome mods for minecraft onto the xbox =p oh wait Microsoft will only 500 Microsoft points per mod! lol

no but i cant wait to play it but it will not be as good as the pc version

MagneticMonk360 I wonder if they are going to add in exclusive content for the Xbox360 version.

They probably include new DLC for the xbox a couple of months after release, like new blocks and world seeds or **** like that.

I'm guessing the system is going to be like the Left 4 Dead games, the PC gets all the updates as soon as they all come out, but with the console versions you have to get the DLC to get the bug fixes and updates.
