On Friday we reported that Sony Pictures was in final negotiations with Ubisoft for the rights to create a movie based on Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed IP.

Today it seems even more likely this deal with come to fruition, as Sony has registered 16 different domain names for an Assassin’s Creed movie, according to Fusible. These domains, like assassinscreedfilm.com, are all variations on that theme, so no subtitle or plot information can be gleaned.

This mass domain registration could simply be Sony hoping they can secure the deal, or it could mean that the deal has actually gone through, but we’ll have to wait and see.
