See what you think of the upcoming racing title in action.

Back in June, Slightly Mad Studios officially revealed Project Cars 3, a racing title that was said a few years ago to be more of a spiritual successor to the studios Need for Speed: Shift. The game is looking to be launching August 28, and we’ve recently learned that it will not have PC ray tracing and cross-play support. A new video has surfaced online from YouTuber Shirrako, showing 9 minutes of gameplay for the title.

The footage that you can find below (Thanks, DSOGaming) shows Shirrako racing a McLaren P1 GTR around the Mount Panorama Bathurst track. The graphics are said to be set to ultra with a resolution of 2160p at 60fps and with all HUD elements switched off. Shirrako also details they’re using a 2080 TI graphics card and a Logitech G29 steering wheel.

The quality of the vehicles certainly looks great, but the environment looks to be a bit lacking. Additionally, the steering appears to be quite jerky despite using a wheel. Shirrako also looks to be taking the arcade-focused approach to driving around the track, coming in fast, and drifting through the corners. The camera looks to be automatically locking onto corners as they approach them, and the sense of speed seems to be intact.

Project Cars 3 will find players racing to earn credits and XP, racing hundreds of upgradable and customizable cars. A 24-hour cycle, dynamic all-seasons, and all-weather racing. The game features intense crash effects and car contact, and fully scalable assists to suit all skill levels. Additionally, for those on PC, the game should have enhanced AI and support 12K textures.

Project Cars 3 is slated to launch August 28 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
