Crysis Remastered Finally Comes to PS4, Xbox, and PC in September

4.2
Crysis Remastered at long last has a legitimate launch date and it will be arriving next month on September 18.

Earlier this week, a new report emerged indicating that Crysis Remastered could be releasing, well, on what would have been today. However, that turned out to not be the case whatsoever. Fortunately, Crytek did have more news to share on the upcoming Crysis remaster today and has now formally announced when we’ll be able to get our hands on the game.

After being initially delayed out of its first planned release window of July 2020, Crytek announced that Crysis Remastered will now officially launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in a little under a month on September 18. For those on PC, the game will launch exclusively via the Epic Games Store, with Crytek charging $29.99 for the title on all platforms.

Alongside announcing the release date itself, Crytek and Saber Interactive, who co-developed this new iteration of Crysis, released a new trailer for the game today highlighting the visual improvements that have been made. This new video primarily just shows off the environments within Crysis itself, however, and doesn’t feature any moment-to-moment gameplay. That said, what is on display looks to be impressive for sure. Hopefully, when the game is actually up and running, it will continue to look this great.

While Crysis Remastered won’t be hitting PS4, Xbox One, and PC until next month, the iconic shooter is actually available on the Nintendo Switch right now. To get a better idea of what we thought of that port, you can check out our editorial talking about the strange correlation our writer Otto Kratky found between Crysis and The Last of Us Part II.

I seriously can't wait to play this. I loved the PS3 trilogy of it.

Going to keep my fingers and toes crossed for them to remaster the 2nd and 3rd ones
