Seems like Sony could resurrect a plan that will allow PSP owners to transfer their UMD games digitally over to the upcoming PS Vita.

Japanese publication Dengeki (via Siliconera) has stated that Sony Computer Entertainment Japan is looking into the tech. The catch? Such a transfer would cost users a small amount of coin.

Sony were looking into the same possible method for the ill-fated PSP Go, but never went through with it. Even with the added cost, this could prove to be a major incentive for PSP owners.
