It has been a few days since Microsoft's big Xbox Games Showcase and the information is still coming in by the hour, and the game dominating the news cycle is unsurprisingly Halo Infinite which had its gameplay debut at the show. The next piece of Halo info that has fans buzzing focuses on just how big Halo Infinite is going to be.

Speaking to IGN, 343 Industries developers Chris Lee and Paul Crocker provided new information for Halo's jump into the ninth generation of consoles. One of the most eye-catching acknowledgements is the size of Halo Infinite. While referring to the demo and its place within the story, they briefly mention that Halo Infinite is going to have a giant campaign.

According to Lee, Halo Infinite will be "several times larger" than both Halo 4 and Halo 5 combined. While that is definitely sometime awe inspiring, there is the question about the context of "larger." This reference in scope could either mean the actual landmass of Halo Infinite's world or possibly even the actual length of the game. While it is very likely the former, Halo Infinite could push the franchise to new lengths in terms of play time through a bigger map and exploration. At least that exploration will come with new traversal means as Halo Infinite will introduce a grappling hook into the series.

While this news falls into the more positive talking points of Halo Infinite, the game has also been met with harsh debate. The biggest point of contention revolves around Halo Infinite's graphics with regards to the expectations of the next generation of Halo. Fans have voiced their displeasure with Halo Infinite's graphics with notable visual hiccups and pop in, with the backlash even seeing Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg to comment on the issue in a frank response to critics.

Coming out of the Xbox Games Showcase, Halo Infinite is definitely the game to receive the most discussion following the presentation. The event had other big reveals outside of Halo including the return of the Fable franchise, yet neither game quite captured the current interest of gamers the way another oddity did. Coming out of the showcase, Stalker 2's debut trailer had the most views holding a steady lead above Halo Infinite's gameplay and the Fable reveal trailer on the official Xbox YouTube account.
