Ninja Reveals Why He Doesn't Play Fortnite Anymore

A few weeks after claiming he could be one of the best Fortnite players in the world if he tried harder, popular streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins has revealed why he doesn't play the free-to-play battle royale game anymore. During a recent Mixer stream featuring League of Legends, Ninja discussed why he hasn't played or streamed the PS4, PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile battle royale game lately, noting it's partially due to stream snipers, but more because of aim assist for controller players.

"I haven't played Fortnite really. I haven't legitimately played Fortnite in a long time," said Ninja. "I'm literally just waiting man. Right now, it's just not in a healthy state on PC. "I think Fortnite is doing a great job, I really just want that controller aim assist on PC balanced."


Ninja continued, explaining why everyone uses a controller on PC:

"The aim assist function is much better and stronger because of the 240hz. Controller aim assist on 240hz is, like, super broken."


Ninja stopped here, but it's obvious this is a topic he's passionate about, which makes sense. It's a hot-button topic with other streamers, professional players, and even casual players. Some don't think it's a problem, while others are ready to, or have already, moved on from the game because of it.

Of course, controller aim assist on PC does give players an advantage compared to keyboard and mouse players, particularly during close-range spray n' pray showdowns. However, it's also a problem that has been overblown, and for the average player, it's hardly a problem at all.

At the moment of publishing, it doesn't appear Epic Games is preparing any changes to this aspect of the game, so if Ninja is truly not playing the title because of this problem, he may not be returning anytime soon.

Fortnite is available, for free, on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.

RepBandit I do not play much due to skill based matchmaking. I feel I am decent but I am not a build pro. I build a couple platforms and im good. I am better at shooting.


Yeah I played a lot it now I just stop playing it now forever because more other games are releasing. When Chapter 2 Season 2 was announced I already knew my time was done, but I hate it more because everyone just plays it for money tbh and people bully with each other and say they're the best of best.


I played the 2nd & 3rd season and got bored after that, haven't touched the game since.

The reason I do not play is due to my awful building whilst trying to combat at the same skills.

OG_BOSS Honestly can't stand this rainbow hair guy. Have you ever seen he's videos. Almost complaining and whinging when he gets outplayed and gets killed. I remember him using a controller on a video going on about how over powered to aim assist is yet missed half the shots


I am personally not a fan of his content but I don't bash him or trash talk him, I just chose to pretend he isn't there.

Mario350 um gotta say no one on pc uses a controller because controllers are trash and the aim assist on the crappy kids game was strong even on console anyways, this kid just complains about pointless stuff and gets other kids banned


I use controller on PC, admittedly only for FN and for CoD, I use mouse and key for every other game I play though.

I disagree with this, I don't watch Ninja but Pewds is awesome and highly entertaining for all ages.

Right lol i saw him on it yesterday. I guess he can't really stay away from it which i don't blame him.


The difference is his viewers is insane when he doesn't play FN.
