Call of Duty: Warzone Now Has Over 60 Million Players

Call of Duty: Warzone players are still growing more and more as the Battle Royale celebrates surpassing a new milestone.

Less than two months after its launch, Call of Duty: Warzone surpassed 60 million unique players, setting a brand new record in the Call of Duty franchise and among all the available Battle Royale games.

As the very first free-to-play title in the Call of Duty series, Warzone has brought a ground-breaking success for Activision by turning into one of the world’s most trending Battle Royale games over the last few months. Today, it’s officially revealed by the Twitter account of the game that it’s already reached over 60 million players across all platforms in the world.


With such a huge player base, Infinity Ward is looking forward to supporting Warzone in the coming years and launch it on PS5 and Xbox Series X as soon as they become available in the market. As the development team explained recently, Warzone is going to be a through-line in the series that connects all the upcoming sub-franchisees of Call of Duty titles.

Warzone now features Battle Royale mode in three different modes including Solo, Duos, and Quads. On the other hand, the game features a brand new Plunder mode set in the same map of the Battle Royale with a bunch of different rules and objectives. That said, the developers are struggling with a huge number of cheaters in the game. Recently, some of the players has modified Modern Warfare in a way that allows them to play it in the third-person view.

With every season that Infinity Ward launches for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, it brings new content packs to Warzone as well. However, it’s yet to be seen how Warzone would be changing by the launch of the upcoming mainline Call of Duty iterations. Currently, some unofficial rumors are hinting at Call of Duty: Vietnam as the next title in the franchise that is set to be launched later this year.

Maze For sure not a fan of warzone, I think it's officially my lowest ranking BR, but that sure is an impressive number and they have retained a good amount as well. Good for them.


I'm surprised you ranked it the lowest. It is so much more tactical and well thought out than other games. It is more simplistic in terms of inventory management,, which is a good thing in my opinion. I was sick and tired of BR, ,but this brought me back.


No where near the lowest, have you played BO4 blackout? You will change your mind after playing that garbage.

A couple tweaks would definitely make this 123456789% better. Just wish they would do something about duos.

My man im sorry but if a battle royale game offers respawns, it is not "tactical". There is nothing tactical about dropping, collecting cash, calling your loadout, and then camping. Tactical games don't reward poor decisions like warzone does, its a game for casuals
