PUBG is Now Available on Google Stadia, Free for Pro Users

PUBG is now available on Google Stadia. Features cross-platform play and "Click to Play" which allows players to start playing by clicking a link.

Today’s Stadia Connect brought a lot of announcements with it, but nothing compared to this bomb. PUBG, the first battle royale title to make it big, is now dropping on Stadia. That means if you have Stadia Pro right now, you can use your chrome browser, phone, tablet, pretty much any device with a screen, and start playing right now. If you’re a free Stadia user, you’ll have to pay $30 for the base game or $40 to bundle the game and its current season pass.

While PUBG is already available on consoles and on mobile devices, this is the first time you’ll be able to play the battle royale title on other devices with cross-platform play. That’s right, you can play PUBG in a Google Chrome browser with a mouse and keyboard against people playing on consoles.

If you’ve played PUBG on a few platforms before, you can already see how this might be a problem. It’s common for PC gamers to talk about how much better mouse and keyboard are for shooter games, that these controls allow for faster movement and reactions compared to a controller with joysticks. In my experience, that’s doubly true for PUBG, and now players on Stadia using a mouse and keyboard will likely have a huge advantage over their console counterparts.

Int I really feel... personally that Stadia is just going to end up in the dumps, I never heard of it before and from what I hear it's not even good...

Yea bro Google just needs to stay as a search engine lmao you don't see Xbox, PS, or Nintendo making their own search engines to try and compete with Google or Bing

Gossip I wouldn't expect anything less from a free game. Guess it's good to see the Stadia trying to keep up.

Ahri PUBG on Stadia is plagued with bots, PUBG Corp added these officially to Xbox One and Stadia because the player base is so low.

Explains why the game would be free then ayy.. I mean pubg itself has gone downhill. Think bots takes away from the feeling of the game.

Here's a link to a Q&A discord users had with a pubg official which specifically states how the update came to every other platform first before pc.

Glad to see stadia is getting those "vital" competitive games on there. Considering it's been on mobile for god knows how long.
