Quantum Error Will Use Real-Time Ray Tracing On PS5

Quantum Error developers TeamKill Media have been talking about their upcoming horror FPS quite a lot since they announced it, and one thing they’ve been emphasizing quite a bit is that the game, as per them, is going to be a visual powerhouse. They’ve confirmed that it’ll be targeting 4K and 60 FPS, and in recent activity on Twitter, they confirmed some more interesting details.

Aswering a question on Twitter, the developers confirmed that Quantum Error will “100 per cent” feature real-time ray tracing- presumably they’re speaking of the game’s PS5 version, and not its PS4 release, since it’s the former that supports hardware ray tracing. Responding to another question asking if ray tracing is easy to implement for the game on the PS5, the developers suggested that it is indeed “pretty easy to implement.” You can check out both tweets below.

Quantum Error is currently in development for the PS4 and PS5, but doesn’t currently have a release date set in stone. The developers recently told us that though they remain focused on the game’s PlayStation launch for now, an Xbox Series X version down the road isn’t off the table.

In that same interview, they also spoke to us about how long the game will be and how the game will make use of the DualSense’s unique features, and told us that Quantum Error’s gameplay structure will be very similar to games like DOOM 3 and Dead Space.

Consoles finally getting some upgrades that were needed. Good to see and I'd assume xbox will have this feature as well for other games. Well, I hope it does lol.

It's also nice to see most games are still gonna be 60fps and 4k target, that's pretty cool and it's nice for console users to experience how smooth it is.
