Call of Duty: Warzone – Developer Planning Fortnite-Style Changes

3.8
Battle royale games may be commonplace but Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Warzone has proven that there’s still room to succeed. It witnessed over 50 million players within its first month, which is pretty crazy considering it was (sort of) a stealth drop. However, it still has a ways to go before competing with Epic Games’ Fortnite Battle Royale.

Much of that has to do with the nature of updates that Epic’s title has received. In a single season, we may see outlandish events, map changes, new weapons, collaborations and much more taking place. At the very least, Infinity Ward is looking to follow suit in a way that makes sense to its established universe. Speaking to GamesBeat about the kinds of things that Fortnite has done, narrative lead Taylor Kurosaki said, “That’s exactly the kind of thing that we’re working on, that we have planned.

“Again, it’s all going to fit into this macro that we’ve established in Modern Warfare, and that we’ve continued into Warzone. If you know who the players are in Modern Warfare, it’ll all make sense, and it’ll all feel appropriate to the universe.” While he doesn’t quite outline the kind of content that players can expect, there’s clearly stuff in the works.

Call of Duty: Warzone is currently available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The development team recently announced that it would have weekly “Live From Warzone” streams to talk more about the game so expect more details there. It also revealed recently that 70,000 players were banned for cheating with efforts to improve in-game reporting and more security updates coming.

Cent Fortnite-style changes include an anti cheat? I am ALL for that if that's the case lol. Regardless I hope they stick to what they were doing because I actually really like the mode aside from the cheaters.

Does Fortnite have AC? - I've seen a few cheating videos/hacks

It does yes. I don't think any anti-cheat is perfect but it certainly would help the issue.

I mean no Anti Cheat can be perfect and there is always going to be some way to exploit it but I guess I hardly ever came across any hackers on there.

There is here and there but I rather have that be the case on warzone rather there be cheaters non stop like how it is currently.

Doesn't sound too pleasing with the word "Fortnite" hoping Activision don't turn their characters into cartoon figures like what Fortnite has done. lol That would be something, right? If they're copying Fortnite is a way then you're going to see people leave the game, there's a lot of people hate Fortnite and I don't blame them.

I hope it's not too much like Fortnite changes because Fortnite ultimately made too many decisions which made the game trashy and cringe.

If they're planning Fortnite style changes then I could only imagine Warzone getting worse.
