Riot offering a bounty to players who can find exploits in Valorant

4.5
If you can find exploits in Valorant’s anti-cheat software, Vanguard, you could earn up to $100,000.

Riot Games is offering a bounty to players who can find exploits in the company’s Vanguard anti-cheat software which has been deployed for the company’s new shooter, Valorant.

According to Riot, those who find exploits within the software, which leverages a kernel driver to combat cheaters, could earn between $25,000 and $100,000. The company is asking for “high-quality reports” which represent “practical exploits leveraging” the vgk.sys kernel driver.

The actual bounty paid out depends on the impact and practicality of the exploit presented, and the exploit must work on the latest version of Vanguard.

Potential exploit reporters must provide a “working proof of concept” that can be run by Riot Games along with a detailed report.

Valorant’s anti-cheat software is always running in the background, something which has caused a bit of controversy in the game’s community. Vanguard starts up as you start your PC, and runs in the background even if you are not playing the game.

Now other companies need to take notes, simply hiring teams isn't as impactful as bounty on people who find them. Simple solution. Get rid of all glitches!

Cent Sadly they don't even have an anti-cheat for warzone. :'( . I just wish they would care more and riot shows a perfect example of what to do.

Yea COD lags when it comes to cheaters.. definitely something they need to work on.

9nty That's a lot of cash to give away just to find an exploit in the anti-cheat software. I know they want to better the anti-cheat system as people are apparently bypassing some how I don't know how but they're doing it.

It's a great idea though and I'm happy for more companies to do this as it makes the games much better. Warzone should definitely take notes LOL.

Warzone doesn't really have any exploits it's just grimey little cheaters using their aimbots. I wish they could find a way to fix that though you aren't wrong.

Thats what exploits are. They are using exploits to find ways to bypass the anti-cheat systems.

If they find an exploit they should give them a job plus the money.

Not really because they aren't giving people money for finding ways to make cheats. They're paying people money if they find exploits in the AC that can exploit an user's pc. Think they should honestly pay a lot more if they want the publics to help prevent major breaches on that scale.

I think people just sit and try to find things to either benefit themselves or to make the community aware and show them that this shit is broken and needs to be fixed.
