Halo Infinite’s Sound Effects Highlighted In New Videos

4.3
If all goes according to current plans, Halo Infinite will launch at the end of the year alongside Microsoft’s next generation console, the Xbox Series X. Right now, it’s hard to say with everything surrounding COVID-19. We do know that the Halo team has transitioned to working at home remotely. It either will or won’t come this year, but in the meantime, 343 Industries has been making some fun behind the scene videos about how the game is made, and today we got a look at how they got some cool sound effects.

In two videos, one on the official YouTube account and another on the official Instagram, the sound team highlights how sound effects are made. The first highlights how they take the sounds from some very noisy vehicles, including an ancient tractor. The second has a makeshift propane cannon recorded in an abandoned mining town.

Halo Infinite is scheduled to release this holiday season for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.

Gossip All these little details they do for game is really interesting. All this work for a sound.. wow.

Yeah it's honestly amazing, now think how many games there are and how many sounds are in each game :O.

After looking there are a good amount of other companies doing this on youtube and it's pretty neat to watch. In College one of my film classes showed how they did this in movies as well and it was awesome to see.

This is pretty neat seeing how they capture the sounds for the game. Hopefully the game is up to par with the rest

It's crazy how we play the games and take every sound for granted without actually thinking about how they are recorded etc. So dope!

This is pretty dope I don't think I've ever seen a video of how game sounds are truly made. Excited for the new halo and hoping it isn't garbage.
