PS5 vs Xbox Series X specs compared, which console is more powerful?

4.2
Sony has been keeping its cards pretty close to its chest with the reveal of the PS5, slowly trickling information down to the masses. Today that silence is finally over and we know exactly how powerful the PS5 is.

Microsoft recently showed off the full weight of the Xbox Series X, so we’ve put together a table that shows the two consoles side by side. In terms of raw power, Microsoft is a clear winner.

PlayStation 5 vs Xbox Series X - how do the specs compare?
So. PlayStation 5. Xbox Series X. Plus their last-generation siblings. How do all the specifications and numbers compare and stack up? Here's them all in one place.

How much does this factor into your next-gen buying decisions? We currently don’t have any word on games, but will you wait to see what exclusives are on the horizon before you make up your mind or will you go for the more powerful machine? How much will price factor into your decision?

While we still have no word on the price of the PS5 or Xbox Series X, both consoles are due out before the end of the year, assuming they’re not delayed by the coronavirus. Hopefully they’re not pushed back too long – sales of PS4 and Xbox One have declined since the announcement of next-gen machines, so people are clearly ready for the jump.

Xbox all the way baby. Our exclusives suck ass but I will always prefer xbox.

Mabey so but dont they both have around 15 studios each so xbox is tryna step thier game up, and if XSX's backwards compatible works with the current BC games from 360 on the XO then XSX will have 3600 BC games from XO and X360 not sure if its from day one couldn't see that info, and they will start getting more exclusives while ps5 will only have around around 100 BC games so xbox seems like the way to go for gaming content next gen imo.

And that is what it will always come down to.

Gossip I don't think it matters anyways tbh Xbox payers will still get Xbox and vice versa with PS..

Agreed the PS4 took such a huge lead for people with the PS4 moving to the PS5 really is the way to go as long as they have BC they will keep the userbase locked in. The Xbox on the other hand needs to release 1st and be cheaper and have a stack of games ready to go.

I think the damage the Xbox One did is going to take another console gen to repair.

Literally has the source at the bottom...

Tbh I don't think the spec difference matters in decision making for either console. Both will look really good so it really comes down to the content created for the platforms.

Added in the (3.66 GHz w/ SMT) for the XSX but even then its still more powerful than the PS5.

I'm definitely gonna go with the ps5
