Google has announced two new games premiering for free on its Stadia Pro subscription service, available to those paying $10 a month for 4K gaming on the streaming platform. Pro members will receive post-apocalyptic shooter Metro Exodus and Stadia-exclusive horror title Gylt for free in the month of February. Google also announced that they’d be removing Samurai Shodown and Rise of the Tomb Raider from the subscription, keeping the total number of games at 5. Stadia Pro subscribers have until January 31 to pick up either of the games leaving the service.

Stadia Pro subscribers will be getting the base edition of Metro Exodus, an “epic, story-driven first-person shooter from 4A Games that blends deadly combat and stealth with exploration and survival horror in one of the most immersive game worlds ever created.” Originally released in February of 2019, our own Jason Faulkner gave it a 4/5 in his review, saying that the game takes you on an “epic journey across a continent and makes you feel like what you’re doing actually matters.”

Gylt, the one exclusive title currently available on Stadia, is also included in February’s selections. Created by Tequila Works, Gylt is “a haunting tale about bullying and childhood nightmares.” The game is only available on Google’s streaming platform for now but will release on other platforms once its timed exclusivity period is up. In addition to February’s additions, Stadia Pro members can still claim Destiny 2, Farming Simulator 19, and Thumper throughout the month. Google’s Stadia platform is still in a beta testing phase of sorts, only available to those who purchase a founder’s bundle alongside a Chromecast device. The company promises that the free tier of Stadia will launch in 2020, although they’ve failed to release an exact timeframe as of yet.
