The public preview for Microsoft’s Project xCloud game streaming service will launch in Canada starting January 29, the company announced today. The public preview kicked off in October in the US, the UK, as well as South Korea where it’s actually seeing increased usage compared to the two other markets.

“Canada has been one of the top-requested markets for expansion and we’re delighted to deliver for gamers in Canada starting next week,” wrote Catherine Gluckstein, GM & Head of Product, Project xCloud. If you live in Canada, you can sign up for the public preview today on this page.

“We’re excited to extend the preview to our community in Canada, and we look forward to sharing more about bringing Project xCloud to additional markets in due course,” Gluckstein said. During the public preview, gamers can play more than 50 games including Gears 5, Halo: MCC, or Destiny 2 right from an Android phone or tablet, and you can check out the full list of games on this page.

In case you missed it, Microsoft also expanded the Xbox Console Streaming preview to all Xbox One-supported markets last week. This feature can turn on your Xbox One console into your personal Project xCloud server, but to try it you’ll need to download the Xbox Insider Hub on your console and sign up for the Xbox Insider program

I'm not a huge fan of the whole cloud gaming thing; it's accessible to a limited market at times.
