Project xCloud gets Halo: MCC, Destiny 2, and Civilization 6

3.8
A total of 15 new games are being added to Microsoft’s Project xCloud gaming service as part of the xCloud Preview. The new additions include Sid Meier’s Civilization 6, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and most notably Destiny 2, which seems like a direct push back against Google Stadia.

These new games are being added as of today, and players can check them all out through the Project xCloud Preview. Microsoft is still pushing for a 2020 release of xCloud, and the testing done across these new games will help the team fine-tune details ahead of launch.

The fifteen new games being added to the Project xCloud Preview include:

Batman: The Enemy Within – The Complete Season
Batman: The Telltale Series – The Complete Season
Sid Meier’s Civilization 6
Destiny 2
GoNNER – Blueberry Edition
Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Kingdom Two Crowns
Portal Knights
Sparklite
Superhot
The Surge
Tracks – The Train Set Game
Train Sim World 2019
Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut
The Wolf Among Us

There’s quite a good spread among these new Project xCloud-supported games. Destiny 2 certainly feels like the most obvious point of comparison between xCloud and Google’s rival Stadia service. Likewise, the Halo: Master Chief Collection will similarly test its more technical side. On the other hand of the coin is Civilization 6, a game which ought to play almost perfectly across streaming services thanks to its turn-based online gameplay.

To check out the new Project xCloud games, players must be part of the current Project xCloud Preview. Interested gamers can sign up for the preview by heading over to the official Xbox website, so long as they have a reasonably new mobile phone and a compatible wireless controller. It’s also worth mentioning that these are just the latest in xCloud game additions; there are sure to be more games added as the service continues testing through its planned release sometime in 2020.

As i've stated before i am not a huge fan of cloud gaming. It makes perfect sense but at times it will still likely be a marketed experience.
