Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 release date delayed

The start of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season Two is coming, but it’s coming a bit later than you probably thought. Infinity Ward says it’s making a special “one-time extension of Season One,” and that means the current content now ends on February 11. If you want a less generous reading of that extension, it also means that Season Two is delayed a bit from when we expected.

Season One will soon add a new crossbow – which was leaked last year – to the list of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare weapons, and “a host of new items and challenges.” Infinity Ward says on the official site “to make room for all that activity, we are making a one-time extension of Season One – it’s now ending on February 11. During that time, there will be 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Tier Progression to help you finish up your Officer Ranks and Tiers, and get you ready for an exciting Season Two.”

Strictly speaking, we never got official confirmation that Season Two would begin as soon as Season One ended – there could be some downtime in between.

So yes, I am being slightly premature in calling this a delay for the new content, but come on, it’s super weird that this is being framed as an “extended” Season One.

ttghanman Aw **** this crossbow talk makes me want to quit, black ops 4 would have been a good game for me if they didnt have all those op dlc weapons, once they were added the game became sh*t, i hope mw is not doing the same would hate to see a op weapon at tier 100 i dont have that much time to get that high..

this game is amazing, as much as I **** hate it.. it's not the game that is the problem, it's the pathetic players, you can say it's the worst cod or it's bad for whatever reason, but if you play Compeitive it elimiates most of the issue you'd find in pubs


I wont complain about it being delayed as I still have ALOT to do because I've not really been playing the game because of how toxic and trash pubs is.

This is a little late. They added a few days to this season a few days ago. Kinda sucks though I have all season challenges done and I'm tier 100 so now there's nothing to do.

^ Facts it's only "good" because the fools who buy it each year been fed so much bullshit that when the devs go somewhat in the right direction, they think its amazing. In reality though they are just lazy. Their content isn't even content. Practically all of the maps added post launch are either ones that were previewed before the games release or remade versions of maps.
