BioShock: The Collection Could be Heading to the Switch

BioShock: The Collection for Nintendo Switch has appeared on the Taiwanese games rating board.

Once, long ago, the generation-defining franchise, BioShock, was going to get a handheld entry on the PlayStation Vita. We were reassured multiple times that it was still coming but unfortunately, it never saw the light of day. But, today the hope of playing BioShock on the go is alive once more as BioShock: The Collection has been listed on the Taiwanese games rating board.

While it isn’t much to go on at this point, all three games in the BioShock series have been spotted on the rating website. Previously, BioShock: The Collection released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2016 and came with the complete, remastered versions of all three games (BioShock, BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite) each with their DLC included. Until this potential leak is confirmed though, this should all be considered with a grain of salt.

The BioShock titles would be a great fit for the Nintendo Switch, which, for all of its strengths, falters when it comes to its first-person shooter offerings. With the rich stories and solid gameplay that combines guns with special powers, these BioShock games would give the platform a real tonic shot to the arm. Releasing the previous games on the Switch would also make sense from a publishing perspective for 2K Games.
