Half-Life: Alyx is three months away and already 10 percent off

4.1
Half-Life: Alyx is now available to purchase at a 10 percent discount, and it isn’t launching until March.

You can currently get your hands on the Valve’s upcoming VR game for $53.99 on Steam – down from its pricetag of $59.99 in North America. The price has also dropped in the UK, down from £46.49 to £41.84.

Valve’s upcoming VR release, which was first announced in November, is scheduled to hit sometime in March this year. So why jump the gun with a price-drop ahead of release? It’s unclear, but not unheard of. And perhaps this might tempt potential players to give this virtual reality title a go.

Half-Life: Alyx is powered by SteamVR on Valve’s Source 2 engine and can be played on Steam with all PC-based VR headsets – Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Windows Mixed Reality devices.

In the game, Alyx Vance and her father Eli will mount an early resistance to the Combine’s brutal occupation of Earth, according to the developer. It will be the same length as Half-Life 2, and while it takes place before the game, the studio recommends you play through Half-Life 2: Episode 2 before playing the VR title.

OGTrey079 Vr type gimicky imo it's there but as the years went on I feel like it's been shown to have no real purpose or significance.

VR is no where near a gimmick. Ive had vr since the vive came out, and now im using the index. Its still insanely fun to play.

What true games are there to play on it currently before half life launches that isn't some fun for a few minutes indie game?
