Hello Neighbor is free to claim today on the Epic Games Store

Epic Games Store's 12 Days of Free Games event is now at its penultimate giveaway, with Talos Principle being replaced by Hello Neighbor today as the 12th freebie. As is usually the case with these, the game is free to claim for an entire day.

Arriving as a stealth horror game, Hello Neighbor has players breaking into their suspicious neighbor's house to find out what's hidden in his basement without being detected. However, avoiding the neighbor becomes harder as the game goes on, as every time the player is captured, the AI will catch onto what path was used and react appropriately to make that route much more difficult in the future.

Here's how the Epic Games Store describes the title:

Hello Neighbor is a stealth horror game about sneaking into your neighbor's house to figure out what horrible secrets he's hiding in the basement. You play against an advanced AI that learns from your every move. Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There'll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? The Neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you.

And here are the minimum requirements for the title, which only offers a Windows version:

Windows
OS: Windows 7
Processor: i5
Memory: 6 GB
Graphics: GTX 770
Storage: 5 GB

Hello Neighbor is free to claim on the Epic Games Store until 11AM ET tomorrow. It will be the last day of giveaways tomorrow, and judging by the teaser it will be Yooka-Laylee that's free. The ongoing holiday sale of the store and its $10 coupon will be ending soon as well.
