Red Dead Redemption 2 Sold 408K Units During First Month On Epic Games

3.6
PC audiences got to play Red Dead Redemption 2 on the platform of their choice a year after its launch when the Rockstar open world title launched on the Epic Games Store in November- but it went through a lot of troubles immediately upon release. The poorly optimized PC port was met with plenty of criticism, which unsurprisingly has had a negative impact on sales.

As per a report by SuperData, Red Dead Redemption 2 wold 408,000 units on during its first month on the Epic Games Store. This is in comparison to something like Borderlands 3, which in spite of being exclusive to the Epic Games Store, sold 1.78 million units during its first month.

There are some factors to consider here, such as the fact that Red Dead Redemption 2 was also available via the Rockstar Launcher, or that it launched on Steam just a month later, or that it had already been available on other platforms for over a year- and though 408,000 is not a small figure by any means, it doesn’t seem like it’s as much as what many may have expected. For instance, Red Dead Redemption 2 did not break into the worldwide top 10 grossing PC titles in November.

still highly doubt that since not a single person who plays fortnite knows about other games on there, and if that number is true how many played the game launch month? most like 0 since the game couldnt even run, also why was the game on epic launcher but not steam day one? when it was meant to be a rockstar launcher only game for a month?
