Red Dead Redemption 2 goes live on Steam

4.4
The one-month store exclusivity period of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC has come to an end, as Steam is now an option to purchase a copy and begin playing. The acclaimed Western title landed on the PC platform last month on the new Rockstar Games Launcher and the Epic Games Store following over a year of exclusivity on consoles.

Just as the other stores, Steam lists three versions of the game for purchase, Standard, Special, and Ultimate Editions, coming in at $59.99, $79.99, and $99.99, respectively. Dropping extra cash on the higher end versions adds on a "Bank Robbery Mission & Gang Hideout" story mission plus an array of cosmetic items and boosts to help players along in the open-world game.

The PC version has been getting regular updates from Rockstar for the past month, as the studio works to resolve the many bugs and crashing issues the game launched with on the platform. With many of them now seemingly fixed, Steam users who held out should be riding into a much smoother and stable experience from the start.

Here are the system requirements mounted on the Steam page, which remain unchanged from the earlier release:

Minimum

Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K | AMD FX-6300

Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2GB | AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB
HDD Space: 150GB

Recommended

Memory: 12GB
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB | AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB

C4s I'm glad that they have been focusing on fixing the games issues and bugs for the PC fan base. Great move.

yea so great and nice of them. release the game a year later on PC so they can double dip because they know people will buy the game twice then release it as a buggy terrible port akin to gta IV. IF any other company did this they would be hated.
