Candy Crush is continuing to crush it almost six years after its release.

Candy Crush Soda Saga has made over $2 billion in lifetime revenue, according to the latest report from Sensor Tower Store Intelligence.

Since the mobile game’s launch way back in 2014, Candy Crush Soda Saga has raked in 410 million app downloads across the App Store and Google Play. Half of that revenue has been generate in the States alone, but the game has also proved popular in India, according to the analysts. Likewise, both the US and India are the biggest downloaders of the game – 68 million downloads have come from the States, while 50 million are from India. That’s 17 percent and 12 percent of all downloads, respectively.

“King’s pop-themed match-three—the second oldest title in its sugary Candy Crush series—is especially popular in America, having accumulated $1.1 billion (55 per cent) of its revenue in the U.S. alone,” writes Sensor Tower. “For comparison, Great Britain, which came in second place for player spending, has contributed $135 million, or just under 7 per cent, of Soda Saga’s lifetime revenue.”

“Potential competitors in the puzzle genre should keep an eye on King’s games and especially the Saga series, as – despite their age – they continue to be the champions of their genre when it comes to revenue.”

The game’s publisher King made over $450 million in Q3 2019, $85 million of which was generated by Candy Crush Soda Saga alone. The full four-title Candy Crush series made up 85 percent of the studio’s entire revenue. That’s a combined $258 million.
