Splinter Cell Teased Yet Again

3.8
Ubisoft’s been a busy developer and publisher of games this generation, but one major franchise that has been noticeable missing for years is Splinter Cell- and people have obviously not been happy about Sam Fisher’s prolonged absence. There have been leaks and rumours about a new Splinter Cell game here and there, but there’s been no official word from Ubisoft, while some reports have even suggested that there is no new Splinter Cell title currently in development.

That hasn’t stopped Ubisoft from dropping a cryptic tease though. Ubisoft Spain’s official Twitter account recent posted a picture of Sam Fisher with his iconic multi-vision goggles, with a caption that says (when translated), “You need to understand the darkness to face it.”

Of course, many have jumped to the belief that this is a tease for a new Splinter Cell title- and it very well may be, just not the way you think. Ubisoft said not too long ago that they were looking into Splinter Cell back with “some new type of experiments, but more on different devices”. This was followed by reports that a VR Splinter Cell title was in development.

So if this tweet is indeed teasing something, there’s a very real chance that it might be teasing that alleged VR game. Either way, stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated in case we learn anything new.

I miss splinter cell. This has always been one of my favorite game series to play I'm talking way before I had online and would be in my room sneaking around like my life depended on it.
