Modern Warfare Battle Royale Mode Seemingly Leaked Again

Before it was even formally announced, there were leaks suggesting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was getting a battle royale mode. The closer we got to the game's release, the rumors and leaks pivoted, revealing that the mode wouldn't be in the game come launch, and would rather come sometime after it hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC. At the moment of publishing, neither Infinity Ward or Activision have said or even hinted at anything battle royale mode related. However, a new leak has surfaced suggesting a battle royale mode is still in the pipeline at Infinity Ward.

The latest leak comes way of That1MiningGuy, who recently discovered the abbreviation "BR" in the game's new files, which likely stands for battle royale. As you may know, in game files abbreviations are often used, especially when a developer is trying to hide something.

Again, there's been numerous rumors and leaks pointing at a battle royale mode coming to the game, so this isn't very surprising. That said, it should also still be taken with a grain of salt, just like previous times. While the evidence is certainly starting to stack up, unofficial information is never worth taking to the bookies.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Yin If they can keep out armor or tone it down and keep tanks out, I'd be down to play that. Those are the only reasons I hate playing Blackout.


Without an armor system, the game goes down hill.


I highly disagree. More people would be on an even playing field if they only had meds instead of armor. I mean, if you want to maybe give people who are bad at the game a chance like Modern Warfare currently does (in their own words), then armor is fine. I just don't see how it hurts the game without it. Other than the structures you can build, Fortnite didn't have that stuff and was very successful. Unless you want to put building in the same category as armor, then I guess go for it. At the very least, level 3 armor needs to go in every BR.


So to sum it up you believe in what the developers said when they want everyone to be at the same skill base? Is that a joke? Im serious, this game has no skill gap whatsoever because of the ttk and the overall way the game plays. So if you think that would translate into a BR you're out of your mind kiddo. Armor is the base of the skill gap because accidentally shooting someone in the head twice because you got lit up is not skill. Head and body armor needs to be in the game so trashbags that should be outplayed are, you have it backwards my guy.

I wouldn't mind seeing a battle royal mode in here. I actually enjoyed and played a lot of Alcatraz blackout on bo4 even though I wasent much a fan of the zombies or multiplayer.
