Modern Warfare fans want a 725 nerf

Modern Warfare is upon us, and players are mostly united: the 725 shotgun needs a nerf. It’s coming to dominate multiplayer, and it’s got range far beyond what you’d expect from a videogame shotgun. There’ve been a handful of early patches for the game, but no balance changes for the Modern Warfare weapons just yet.

The 725 is effective at some pretty ridiculous ranges, at times outperforming SMGs and rifles in similar circumstances. The Modern Warfare subreddit is filled with comments on the gun, and one clip in particular demonstrates just how devastating it can be – and in that example in particular, it seems that the gun’s loaded with standard buckshot.

Naturally, slug rounds can give you one-hit kills at just about any range, but they require you to be far more precise. One clip on Twitter in particular shows off what happens when you combine slug rounds with a scope – the results are sniper-like kills at extreme range. (Just with a couple of dozen extra feet worth of drop-off.)

its the model 1887 all over again(even though they were worse than the 725). Just destroy the massive range it has and everyone will be happy.

Shotguns need a nerf, they're ruining the game. This one is the most OP out of then all. Make it where it takes 2 shots to kill from a distance and 1 shot when face to face like they used to be.

Do you know how a shotgun is supposed to work? With the TTK being as low as it is, a one shot shotgun from 100 yards out is not balanced, I get the YouTuber thing but if you think this doesn't need a nerf, you're probably part of the problem.

It's honestly the only thing I have fun doing in the game at the moment, but if they nerf it then hopefully it's just range.

I don't care for the dmg it's a shotgun it's supposed to kill you up close but the range definitely has to go asap teams literally run all shotguns and it's so annoying
