The upcoming Netflix series based on The Witcher novels is finally set to arrive on December 20.

After months and years of anticipation, Netflix finally revealed today when the upcoming series based on The Witcher is finally set to be released.

The first season of The Witcher will finally arrive before the end of the year on December 20. While this isn’t the exact same date that had previously leaked a few months ago, that past rumor was pretty close. This release information was divulged at the end of a new trailer for The Witcher which looks pretty fantastic.

The trailer that has been released gives more of a broad overview of the show’s story this time around. We also get to see a whole lot more of Henry Cavill’s version of Geralt doing battle with monsters, interacting with Yennefer, and talking to Roach. Best of all, though, this trailer also features Geralt in a bathtub. If that’s not selling you on this Netflix series, then I don’t know what else will.

Personally, I think this trailer looks a thousand times better than the last one that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con. This video shows off a lot more of the characters and iconography that many who are likely familiar with The Witcher have been looking for. Where I was once a bit hesitant with how this would turn out, I’m actually much more excited to binge-watch it come December. Let’s just keep hoping that it turns out to be as good as I’m sure many want it to be.
