Mad Max Director George Miller Praises Kojima for Death Stranding

3.5
Death Stranding has received its highest impression yet from none other than George Miller.

Even with the knowledge that media outlets currently have copies of Death Stranding for review, those of us in the dark still don’t completely know what to expect from Kojima’s newest title. It is apparent that the legendary game director got iconic film director George Miller to take a look at the game himself. Miller is known for directing popular movies like Mad Max: Fury Road and Happy Feet.

Hideo Kojima took to Twitter releasing a video of Miller viewing the game. Miller narrates the video and explains his thoughts of Death Stranding by calling it “stunning.” “The skill that I see in great filmmakers, I now see in Kojima-san’s work…all of the visual languages, the syntax, the compelling imagery, it’s all there,” said Miller.

In case you didn’t already know, Kojima is a big fan of movies, especially those in America so seeing him get to show off his creation to someone he idolizes is incredibly nice and genuine. I personally do not have a history with Kojima’s games and I’ve been relatively indifferent about Death Stranding since it was first announced. As its development continued with the obscure concepts along with having Geoff Keighley and Conan O’Brien in it for some reason I was leaning away from excitement, but after watching this video I am officially on the hype train and can’t wait to play it when it launches in a mere two weeks.

You can pre-order Death Stranding on Amazon so you can play the game when it releases on November 8 exclusively for PlayStation 4.
