Angry Fan Uses Fallout 1st Domain to Protest New Paid Subscription

4
Fallout 76‘s new paid subscription service, Fallout 1st, has ruffled some feathers. The public outcry against has been very vocal and fairly unanimous–at least from what I’ve seen. One particularly salty fan has even gotten a hold of falloutfirst.com, a domain that Bethesda should have registered but did not. The fan uses the domain to protest the “host of pointless items and cult bonuses” that membership provides. Please note that this spoof site includes some vulgar language.

The main issue fans seem to have with Fallout 1st is its expense. At $12.99 per month, it is comparable to a Final Fantasy XIV or World of Warcraft subscription. These games were always intended as MMORPGs, though, whereas Fallout 76 has always been a confusing release. This subscription service provides a number of benefits, but none of these seem to justify such a hefty price tag. Furthermore, for just $10 a month you can get Xbox Game Pass, which provides you with access to much better games–including much better Fallout games (3, 4, and New Vegas). The following image is an official Bethesda listing of the benefits of Fallout 1st.
