Razer Introduces First 'True' 7.1 Gaming Headset

4.8
Determined to take headsets to the next level, Razer has announced the Tiamat 7.1, featuring an impressive 10 drivers to deliver the first true 7.1 surround sound gaming headset. Beneath the ergonomic leatherette ear cups of the Tiamat 7.1 you can find five discrete drivers for each ear, placed to deliver 360-degree surround sound through a pair of surround sound drivers, one for the front, another for the center channel, and an additional driver for the subwoofer. Using the included control unit, gamers can manually adjust every audio channel, position, bass depth, and even switch between the 7.1 surround sound mode, 2.0 stereo mode, or even external speakers connected to the unit.

A fully retractable unidirectional mic is included to make sure that your enemies clearly hear the ring of your battle cry.

The Razer Tiamat 7.1 will be available Q4 2011 for $179.99 from Razerzone. For those looking for a more affordable option, the Razer Tiamat 2.2 can be picked up for $99.99 at the same time.
