PUBG now supports cross-play on PS4 and Xbox One

4.2
As promised, PUBG players on PS4 and Xbox One can now play against each other.

PUBG has just received update 4.3 on PS4 and Xbox One. Alongside the new content and features – all of which launched on PC a week ago, 4.3 also adds the long-awaited support for cross-play.

With this, PUBG matches on consoles will have a larger pool of players to pull from. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to party up with players on other platforms just yet, which seems like a strange omission considering how cross-play typically works.

Regardless, developer PUBG Corp. is working on making cross-console parties possible, with details on its progress to be shared later. Players also have the option to turn off cross-play completely, though the game will ask you to re-enable it should matchmaking times get too long.

As part of the feature going live, you’ll now see dedicated PS4 and Xbox One icons on the killfeed and when looting dead players.

Everything else that came to PC with update 4.3, such as the new survival ranking, crate-only shotgun and player ID are all available on PS4 and Xbox One.
